Camara was sold by Marseille to Lens 12 months ago but was suffering with a serious groin injury at the time of the transfer.
On Saturday, Camara made his belated Lens debut in the League Cup defeat against Beauvais and revealed his joy at being back on the pitch.
"I am really happy to be back in competition," beamed Camara. "I didn't play with the professionals for one year and it is a long time.
"Moreover, I am reassured to have played 90 minutes and all the extra-time without any pain."
Camara also blasted former l'OM chief Tapie, who claimed the French international would never play again after offloading him to Lens.
He added to L'Equipe: "Some people, like Bernard Tapie, thought I would never play any more.
"That is the proof that whatever your hierarchical position, you always have to respect the others, never talk without knowing.
"During the previous year, I always had in mind what Bernard Tapie said, and it was an additional motivation element."
