Rool makes peace

Lens' hard-man defender Cyril Rool has put his disciplinary problems behind him and is looking forward to a sustained run in the side.

Despite being sceptical about his own guilt in the episode, Rool is keen to the put the incident behind him.
"Even if I don't agree, they were right to discipline me," he said. "I can't stand back when I am harshly treated. I am too impulsive.
"Everywhere I played I was a first team member because I was good on the pitch and not because the coaches were afraid of me. I am not a lout."

"The chairman's statements have always been important to me. If tomorrow he tells me he doesn't want me, I will leave. I would like to know what the club wants. About my future, we will see. But those last events won't change anything."
Former Marseille man Rool confessed he feels like a marked man in French football and a move abroad seems increasingly likely.
