The French outfit's chairman Gervais Martel recently confirmed that he expected the African to leave Lens before the start of the season.
Galatasaray have long been mooted as Song's suitors and discussions between the two clubs are well under way.
The Turkish press had claimed on Saturday that a deal was concluded, with Song passing a medical in Istanbul.
Song has also agreed a two-year contract with an option of a further 12 months to continue his career in Turkey.
But while Lens acknowledge Galatasaray are poised to land the former Liverpool and West Ham stopper, the transfer has not been rubber-stamped.
The club's financial director Francis Collado confirmed the existence of talks and revealed the reported transfer fee of é¼2.7 million is wide of the mark.
"Nothing has been signed on our part, even if the Turkish pursuit of Rigobert is very strong and that we have started negotiations," said Collado.
"If an agreement is to be reached, then it will be concluded at the beginning of next week.
"But it certainly won't be in the region of the sum which has been mentioned as that is greatly exaggerated."
