"I am truly proud to be captain of this side," Carriere told L'Equipe.
"Moreover, at Lens being a captain carries a great responsibility.
"The officials ask my opinion, even on non-sporting matters.
"The marketing men asked me about how things are done at other clubs and how I think it could be improved here.
"I have the feeling that everything is in place here, even if the league position could be improved.
"It is the club I was looking for. Everything is well managed and the people are passionate."
