Lille picked up a 3-1 victory over struggling Nantes.Lille took a big step towards sealing second place in Ligue 1, with a 3-1 victory over struggling Nantes.
Lille are in pole position to finish as runners up to Lyon in Le Championnat, and they got off to a good start against Nantes when Stephane Dumont gave them a ninth minute lead.
Nantes - who are still in danger of being dragged into the relegation battle - levelled through Nicolas Sauvinaud, but Farael Schmitz sent the visitors in ahead at the break.
A goal from Deduchy wrapped up the scoring in the second half, on a good day for Claude Puel.
Two late goal from PSG spared them defeat to Sochaux at Parc des Princes.
Dos Santos Silva had given Sochaux a two-goal lead - but a frantic finale saw Mario Ypes and Sylvain Armand score to earn a 2-2 draw.
Monaco impressed as they beat Bastia 5-2 - with Ernesto Chevanton scoring a hat-trick and Javier Saviola and Emmanuel Adebayor also on target. Nicolas Penneteau was sent off to seal a bad day for Bastia but Youssof Hadji and Pascal Chimbonda were on target for the Corsican side.
Lens also picked up a 5-2 win against Rennes, with Eric Carriere and an Abdeslam Ouaddou own goal adding to John Utaka's hat-trick. Alexander Frei grabbed Rennes' goals.
Benoit Pedretti was dismissed as Auxerre and Marseille played out a 0-0 draw whilst Kamel Larbi was the matchwinner for Nice as they beat Ajaccio 1-0.
Caen kept their survival hopes alive with a 2-0 win against St Etienne - Cyril Watier and Ronald Zubar on target - and Azzedine Ourahou grabbed the only goal of Istres 1-0 win over Toulouse in a game that saw Francois Sirieux dismissed for a deliberate handball.
Finally, Strasbourg picked up a 3-1 win against Metz, with Mamadou Niang and a Mickael Pagis brace cancelling out Gregory Leca's goal.
