Rennes, Toulouse, PSG, Sochaux, Troyes and Nice all won in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
Rennes have moved level on points with St Etienne after a 3-1 win at Stade Geoffrey-Guichard.
John Utaka opened the scoring for the visitors, but Bafetimbi Gomis levelled matters after 35 minutes.
However, it was all Rennes after the break with Utaka adding his second of the game just before the hour mark.
With St Etienne still reeling, Sylvain Marveaux found the bag of the net to wrap up the three-point haul.
Sochaux have surged into fourth after recording a 2-0 success over Le Mans.
Alvaro Santos opened the scoring from the penalty spot with Yebda Hassan's late own goal settling the contest.
Sedan missed the chance to record their fourth league win of season after being held late on by Auxerre.
Daniel Niculae fired the visitors ahead, but two quick-fire efforts from Romain Satre and Joseph-Desire Job turned things around.
Just when it looked like Sedan would hold on for the points, Niculae netted his second to steal a draw.
Paris Saint Germain left it late before easing to a 3-0 win over Nancy.
Pauleta opened the scoring after 71 minutes and things went from bad to worse for Nancy when Kim was dismissed.
PSG romped home in the closing stages thanks to further goals from Pierre-Alain Frau and Marcelo Gallardo.
Toulouse won 1-0 at Lorient with Paulo Cesar's penalty settling the contest.
Troyes pulled away from the drop zone thanks to David Gigliotti's 66th minute goal sinking Bordeaux.
In the day's third 1-0 scoreline, Bakari Kone's penalty lifted Nice over Valenciennes.
