Zoumana Camara has refused to resume training with St Etienne.Zoumana Camara has refused to resume training with St Etienne.
The central defender is keen to join Paris Saint Germain despite having three years remaining on his current contract with Les Verts.
With David Rozehnal looking set to leave the Parisian club, PSG may improve on their initial offer of é¼3million for Camara.
"Since the last match of the season I have met with chairman Roland Romeyer to ask to have talks," Camara told L'Equipe. "I told the club and coach Laurent Roussey I want to leave.
"To me it is very clear. But as they didn't respect my choice, I had to speak louder. When I came in on Monday I refused to wear my sports clothes. Then I told the coach 'I don't play to underhand tricks. I don't want to play with St Etienne anymore. It is pointless to refuse to let me leave'.
"So it is clear, I won't train anymore with St Etienne. I made a choice, I will keep it until the end. St Etienne underestimate my determination.
"When I extended my contract here I had faith in the St Etienne project, but I don't believe in it anymore. At 28-years-old I have the opportunity of a new challenge with PSG. There is another reason that the officials know about too, I lost my father and I would like to come closer to my family that live in the Paris suburbs."
Bafetimbi Gomis has also refused to train with Les Verts.
The 21-year-old striker featured in the starting line-up in the second part of last season but now wants to leave.
It is reported that Lens have made an offer for the player.
