Saint-Etienne moved into fourth place in Ligue 1 after a 4-1 victory at Bordeaux on Sunday.

Les Verts were 2-0 ahead inside seven minutes as Vincent Pajot headed home and Osama Tannane scored his first goal since joining from Dutch club Heracles in January.

Cedric Yambere reduced the deficit from a 10th-minute corner, before Bordeaux goalkeeper Paul Bernardoni pushed Alexander Soderlund's penalty on to the post.

But Soderlund made amends with a looping header and Nolan Roux wrapped up a convincing victory, before Bordeaux substitute Cheick Diabate was sent off in the final minute.

Ten-man Lille were held at home by Rennes in a 1-1 draw that saw Sofiane Boufal dismissed for the hosts.

Lille grabbed the lead just before the interval when Rennes gave away an unnecessary corner and Eder poked home at the back post for his first goal since joining from Swansea.

The hosts' afternoon took a turn for the worse when Boufal was shown a second yellow card in succession for a foul on Pedro Mendes and Rennes took full advantage late on.
