Coupet (pictured) is angry at the failure to offer him a contract extension, and has hinted he will leave Lyon.
Vercoutre believes his patience should be rewarded by his promotion to first choice custodian, and insisted he will leave if he is not trusted by Lyon.
"Obviously I have to ask some questions about what is going on," said Vercourtre.
"At first, my name was put out as a replacement, but, as time has gone on, it has disappeared and I have heard talk about Mikael Landreau and Ulrich Rame.
"If someone arrives, then I am not prepared to start again, because that would mean people at the club don't trust me.
"What will the club do? I would like to know what the chairman is thinking.
"I have heard rumours about a swap deal with Rame, but I just want to play.
"Two years on the bench is too long. Perhaps the best solution would be to find a club that trusts me.
"I want to improve and nothing would make me happier than to be able to do that at Lyon.
"To be loaned out for a year would also be great, because you get experience."
