Bordeaux schemer Meriem is also on Deschamps' shopping list, with the Monaco chief looking to bring the cream of rising French talent to the Principality.
Meriem has already conceded he would be tempted by a move to Stade Louis II after a disappointing campaign at Bordeaux.
A fee of é¼10.5 million is close to being agreed between the two clubs, despite Bordeaux chairman Jean-Louis Triaud's recent assertion that there has been no contact.
