Watford close on deal for Marseille defender Brice Dja Djedje

Watford are close to signing Marseille defender Brice Dja Djedje, Sky sources understand.

A fee of around £2m has been agreed between the clubs as Hornets' boss Walter Mazzarri prepares for his first season managing in the Premier League.

Djedje will discuss personal terms and take a medical with Watford, who hope to conclude the deal this week.

If he makes the move to Hertfordshire, the 25-year-old would be become the fourth player to join the club during the summer transfer window.
