Ingesson has failed to settle at L'OM since moving from Bologna in the summer, and he has returned to Italy on loan, with a view to a permanent move, but the deal came totally out of the blue for a number of players.
Bruno Ngotty explained: "We didn't know that. I am not sure the announcement of that decision, just before a match, is a good choice. We were already looking for a number 6, so now we are looking for one more."
Javier Clemente said of Ingesson's departure: "It was a personal problem. He wasn't with his family and suffered.
"Klas Ingesson is a great professional. I know the name of the one who will replace him, but I won't say that before it has been signed."
At the same time, Ibrahima Bakayoko left Marseille to play for the Ivory Coast this week, but when he knew the CAN eliminatory match was postponed, he returned to France.
Then he discovered that his coach had not selected him for this weekend's match with Toulouse, and so he has returned to Africa.
It has been suggested in L'Equipe that Spanish coach Clemente has a lot of problems with his players. The players have reportedly said: "We don't do anything and we can't understand anything he says."
