Club officials are still awaiting the player's paperwork from the Russian Football Federation but coach Alain Perrin is confident the player will be in the squad.
Perrin has several strikers out injured at the moment and has hinted that Sychev will have some part to play, even if he is not at his best.
However, the dispute between Dinamo Kiev and Marseille over payment for Sychev is still unresolved.
Marseille had proposed a friendly game or a small fee for the player but Kiev refused and instead wish Marseille to take several players off their books for a larger fee, which is said to please both parties.
