L'OM considering keeper options

By Patrick Haond
Carlos Kameni has emerged as a possible solution to Marseille's goalkeeping woes.

The Cameroon international has been left in limbo after a proposed move to Wolves fell through in the summer when he failed to obtain a work permit.

Wolves have hinted they may resurrect their interest, but the Black Country club could be beaten to his signature by Marseille.

L'OM have been left in the position of having just two goalkeepers after Cedric Carasso picked up a serious injury last week.

Manchester United shot-stopper Fabien Barthez has emerged as a possible option, but Kameni's name has also been mentioned.

Le Havre have confirmed they will not stand in Kameni's way if Marseille come calling.

"If we can find an agreement with l'OM, Kameni's transfer is possible," said Le Havre chairman Pierre Louvel.

Troyes' Tony Heurtebis has also come under the microscope, with their chairman Daniel Vacelet saying: "Heurtebis was on the transfer list last summer. He will be free in the summer, but I won't close the door to anyone."
