Fabrice Fiorese has revealed Paris Saint Germain wanted to loan him to Sochaux.Fabrice Fiorese has revealed Paris Saint Germain wanted to loan him to Sochaux, rather than sell him to Marseille.
The gifted playmaker completed a é¼3 million switch to l'OM prior to the close of the transfer window but PSG were not initially keen on the deal.
Fiorese headed for the Parc des Princes exit door after a bust-up with coach Vahid Halilhodzic left him with little option but to leave.
Halilhodzic had claimed Fiorese was holding PSG to ransom but the 29-year-old has refuted the accusations.
"L'OM asked for information on Monday August 30 at 9.15pm," Fiorese told L'Equipe.
"It was the first time I had a phone call with Jose Anigo. I was attracted by his words in just five minutes.
"For the first time in a while, I heard a human talk. I replied I will do anything to come.
"The Paris officials were keen to loan me for free to Sochaux. By acting that way they would not get a single Euro. So how could they say I took them hostage?"
Fiorese admits the cracks appeared in his relationship with Halilhodzic when he informed the coach he no longer wanted to be vice-captain.
The attacker was upset at being asked to keep tabs on the antics of his team-mates and that ultimately prompted his departure from the capital.
He added: "I went to Halilhodzic's office to tell him I didn't want to remain vice-captain.
"To him, the captain and vice-captain have to tell him everything that happens in the group. So I said; 'It's out of the question to report everything to you'.
"Then he told me; 'You have spoken enough now, go back to the training session. I refuse your resignation. I take the decisions'.
"He added if some were not happy they could meet him to be put on the transfer list. In my mind, I told myself; 'Fine, I will tell you what I think'.
"By acting that way I knew I would be put on the transfer list. I explained I didn't appreciate his methods."
