Marseille hope unsettled duo Benoit Pedretti and Peguy Luyindula stay at the club.Marseille's major shareholder Robert Louis-Dreyfus hopes unsettled duo Benoit Pedretti and Peguy Luyindula stay at the club.
Both players have struggled to establish themselves at Stade Velodrome since they arrived in the summer from Sochaux and Lyon respectively.
Rumours have suggested the pair will seek an exit in the New Year, although both have vowed to fight for their Marseille futures.
Louis-Dreyfus is keen for Pedretti and Luyindula to be true to their word, although he acknowledged there will be some movement in January's transfer window.
"Philippe Troussier is the first coach I have met who has told me he has a good basis of players and he doesn't need any other players," Louis-Dreyfus told TV channel TMC.
"I hope the players rumoured to be leaving will have a proud reaction like great players to stay.
"If they don't feel at ease here, we are not slave drivers.
"The first priority is to sell or loan some players. If we can do it, we can hope a centre forward will come."
Meanwhile, Luyindula proved his worth to l'OM by scoring in the club's 1-1 draw at his former side Lyon on Friday evening.
The France international only played the first half at Stade Gerland and concedes he was slightly taken aback by the reaction of his old supporters.
"Of course it was a great pleasure to come back on that pitch that I didn't leave so long ago," said Luyindula.
"It went off much more smoothly as I scored very quickly. My substitution at half time was for tactical reasons. However, I felt fine, it is a coach's choice.
"The fans' welcome was not very nice but I expected it a little. But I didn't think they had so much hate towards me."
Meanwhile, Louis-Dreyfus has put the appointment of a new chairman to replace Christophe Bouchet on hold, probably until June.
In the interim, general manager Pape Diouf, general director Vivian Corzani and financial director Philippe Meurice will fill the void.
