Albert Emon sung the praises of Djibril Cisse after the forward's debut for Marseille proved to be a memorable occasion.
Cisse joined l'OM on loan from Liverpool in the summer while he was still recovering from a broken leg suffered while playing for France.
He stepped up his rehabilitation in recent weeks and made his return to action as a 61st minute substitute in Saturday's game with Monaco.
His introduction proved pivotal as he set up the winning goal for Mamadou Niang and his impact drew positive comments from his coach Emon.
"Djibril Cisse's contribution has been positive," Emon told But! "The stadium wanted him to play and he wanted to play.
"We didn't know how long he was going to play, but at a moment we needed him to enter.
"He made Monaco concentrate themselves on the centre, which liberated our sides. They were afraid of his quickness.
"Today, his legs hurt him a little, but it is normal. Playing 30 minutes of a match is not a 30-minute training session.
"He has a presence and is implicated within the group, but I won't change my tactics.
"Between Niang, Cisse and (Michael) Pagis, there is a three-man relation."
