Jordan Ayew has revealed that he will remain with Marseille this month rather than continue his development by going out on loan.
Marseille chairman Jean-Claude Dassier stated before Christmas that a loan spell was an option for the teenage striker, who has yet to establish himself as a permanent fixture in the starting XI.
However, the decision has now been taken for Ayew to stay with the Marseille squad and he is happy to have the faith of his club bosses.
"I am not playing regularly in the team, that is why a loan would have been fantastic for me," the19-year-old told skysports.com.
"But Marseille trust me and want me to stay with the group and learn as quickly as possible."
Ayew's father Abedi Pele made over 100 appearances for Marseille during his playing career, while brother Andre is a current squad member at Stade Velodrome.
Jordan admits he is determined to succeed at the club, saying: "This is the biggest club in French football.
"My father wrote a big story here and me and my brother like Marseille too much. We also want to leave a legacy."
