Abdeslam Ouaddou has revealed that he is hoping to leave Rennes this month.Defender Abdeslam Ouaddou has revealed that he is hoping to leave Rennes before the end of the transfer window.
The former Fulham man has impressed in France this season, even though Rennes are struggling in Ligue 1 and have one of the worst defensive records in the division.
His contract expires in the summer, but he is determined to leave before then and test himself elsewhere.
"I am thinking about a transfer, but I haven't got an agent at the moment," the 27-year-old explained.
"I haven't had any offers from France or elsewhere, but I have until January 31. Four clubs, from Russia, Spain and Italy, seem to be interested, so I have to think about my future.
"Although the defence of Rennes has been criticised, I have been reassured that I have caught the eye of these clubs, so I will certainly go.
"Even if they offer me a contract extension, I will refuse it."
Ouaddou is currently in Egypt with the Moroccan squad, but will play no further part in the African Cup of Nations because the team doctor has not been able to diagnose an injury he picked up.
The centre back believes that his situation highlights Morocco's need for a more professional approach to their football.
"It is a different world to what I am used to. Morocco won't be able to win if we don't change."
