Reports claim Newcastle have had offer for striker rejected

Mevlut Erding insists he is not looking to leave Paris St Germain after being linked with a move to Newcastle United. Reports in France have claimed that Newcastle have seen a €6million (£4.8million) offer for the Turkey international striker rejected by PSG. The French club are rumoured to want €10million (£8.2million) before giving any offer for the 23-year-old serious consideration. Erding joined PSG from Sochaux last summer and scored 15 goals in 31 appearances in Ligue 1 during his debut season at the Parc des Princes. He also struggled with niggling injuries and has stressed his focus is on returning to peak condition, rather than worrying about another transfer. "I want to be back to 100 per cent," said Erding. "Last season was too hard for me. "I am not thinking about moving. I belong to PSG, but it is up to them. "I want to have a great season and play at my best without any injuries."
