Sochaux appear to have won the race to sign Guingamp striker Moumouni Dagano.Sochaux appear to have won the race to sign Guingamp striker Moumouni Dagano.
The Burkina Faso international has been courted by several clubs during the summer but Guingamp's é¼4 million asking price was deterring Dagano's suitors.
Hertha Berlin and Strasbourg both baulked at stumping up such a fee but Sochaux have now reached an agreement with Guingamp.
It is understood the Ligue 2 side have lowered their demands to enable Sochaux to strike a deal for Dagano.
The 24-year-old scored 13 goals last season but is now closing in on a return to the top flight.
Dagano is due to undergo a medical on Tuesday and will sign a four-year contract if everything progresses satisfactorily.
Sochaux's impending capture of Dagano will end their interest in landing Lyon forward Nilmar on loan, although they are still chasing a new left back.
