Alain Perrin insists he has not fallen out with Sochaux star Mickael Isabey.
Sochaux coach Alain Perrin has played down talk of a spectacular bust-up with star player Mickael Isabey.
The former Portsmouth manager was involved in a row with Isabey during Sochaux's Coupe de France semi-final victory over minnows Montceau-les-Mines.
Perrin has now attempted to draw a line under the controversy by stating that the argument was no different to those that go on inside dressing rooms all over the continent.
"There was no incident, the job of a coach is to stimulate his players," Perrin told Le Pays.
"As Mickael was fresh, I expected more from him because I know that he can be a masterpiece.
"That kind of situation usually happens in the dressing room but as it happened in front of cameras, people have seen it.
"Maybe he was a little disappointed to start on the bench, but Micka understood and the atmosphere is very serene. No problems."
