Paris Saint-Germain set a new record of 33 unbeaten Ligue 1 games after beating Lorient 3-1 at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday.

Goals from Edison Cavani, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Layvin Kurzawa lifted Laurent Blanc's men 24 points clear at the top of the table ahead of their trip to Marseille on Sunday.

But they were made to work hard by their opponents, who briefly drew level through Raphael Guerreiro and had their chances to make PSG's march to history a little more difficult.

Alexandre Lacazette grabbed a brace as Lyon returned to winning ways with a 3-0 defeat of in-form Bordeaux.

Following a disappointing weekend defeat at lowly Bastia, Bruno Genesio was looking for instant response from his side and Lacazette's goals proved just the tonic before Aldo Kalulu rounded off a successful evening in added time.

Hatem Ben Arfa scored late on as Nice secured a 1-0 win against to Toulouse to move up to third in Ligue 1.

The midfielder hit the winner in somewhat fortuitous circumstances as his initial shot was saved by Lafont before the rebound came off the Nice number nine's knee and into the empty net.

Guingamp secured a third successive league win with a comprehensive 4-0 defeat of Ligue 1's bottom club, Troyes.

The hosts took the lead in the sixth minute when Jonathan Martins Pereira released Mevlut Erding and the Turkey international slid the ball between Matthieu Dreyer's legs.

Guingamp doubled their lead just after the interval when Erding saw his shot saved before Jimmy Briand teed up Younousse Sankhare from the rebound. All three points were made sure of 10 minutes later thanks to a clinical Thibaut Giresse finish from just inside the area, before Ludovic Blas netted his first ever Ligue 1 goal as added time approached.

Adama Soumaoro's solitary second-half strike was enough for Lille to secure their first three points this year with a slender 1-0 win against Caen, who finished the night with 10 men.

Lille made the breakthrough when Eric Bautheac's corner found Soumaoro at the near post and his header left Vercoutre a beaten man for the first time in the contest.

Any hopes of a Caen comeback diminished late on when Jordan N'Kololo was dismissed for a second yellow on 85 minutes following a clumsy challenge on Rio Mavuba.

Reims brought an end to a seven-game winless run with an impressive 2-1 victory over 10-man Angers.

The high-flying visitors struck first, though, when Arnold Bouka Moutou beat a helpless Johnny Placide after his initial header was well saved by the Reims shot-stopper.

Angers could not hold onto their lead, though, and Hamari Traore levelled for the hosts as half-time approached before Gaetan Charbonnier beat Letellier with a well-placed header just after the restart to go in front. Angers were reduced to 10 men late on following Pierrick Capelle's two-footed lunge on Franck Signorino.

Adryan scored his first goal of the season as Nantes extended their current unbeaten Ligue 1 run to 10 games with a comfortable 3-1 win against 10-man GFC Ajaccio.

Les Canaris raced into a two-goal lead when Emiliano Sala netted in the 14th minute following a neat build up before a Jacques Zoua error ended with Alejandro Bedoya sliding the ball beyond Clement Maury. Ajaccio grabbed a lifeline before the break thanks to Kevin Mayi's 26th-minute effort that looped over a helpless Remy Riou.

But after Amos Youga was sent off for a foul on Guillaume Gillet early in the second half, Nantes wrapped up the points when Sala nodded Adrien Thomasson's cross towards the back post and Adryan was on hand to push the ball home.
