Shelbourne's Glen Fitzpatrick grabbed two late goals to earn a 2-2 draw with Lille.Glen Fitzpatrick continued Shelbourne's European dream when he grabbed two goals in the final ten minutes to earn a 2-2 draw with French side Lille.
The plucky Irish side looked in dire trouble when Mathieu Bodmer gave the Championnat side the lead, and Christophe Landrin doubled the advantage on 45.
However, after a fairytale progression in the UEFA Champions League, that was only ended by Spanish giants Deportivo, Shelbourne are not prepared to let go of their European adventure without a fight.
Fitzpatrick gave the 7,463 crowd hope when he notched on 80 to get his side back in touch.
To the delight of the partisan crowd, Fitpatrick added his second three minutes later to level the tie.
Although Lille will be confident of progressing, with home advantage and away goals, Shelbourne will feel they have a shot at yet more Euro glory.
