Lille defender Mathieu Chalme has his heart set on joining St Etienne for the new Ligue 1 campaign.Although Lille finished a lofty third last term, Chalme wants to be part of the new revolution at Les Verts.
St Etienne are expected to climb the Ligue 1 ladder with the likes of Geoffrey Dernis and Daniel Bilos in their ranks.
Chalme has been targeted by Les Verts and he is ready to answer their call after deciding on seeking out a fresh challenge.
"I've made my decision, I want to join St Etienne," Chalme told But. "I am a priority for their board.
"I have given everything to LOSC over recent seasons. I need to experience something else."
Whether Lille coach Claude Puel allows another player to depart with their UEFA Champions League campaign on the horizon remains to be seen.
