Lille have secured the futures of Peter Odemwingie, Kader Keita and Jean Makoun.
Lille have secured the futures of prized asset Peter Odemwingie, Kader Keita and Jean Makoun.
All three have signed extensions to their contracts which Lille now hope will put off any potential suitors.
Odemwingie only penned a four-year deal earlier this year, but he has now inked a further extension taking him to 2011.
Roma have shown an interest in the Nigerian striker, but he now looks set to remain with Lille for a number of years.
Cameroonian Makoun, like Odemwingie (pictured), has signed on until 2011 - which again should end speculation about his future in the short term.
French champions Lyon tried to sign him in the summer and although Makoun's head was turned he has signed on with LOSC.
Keita, like his two team-mates, was also being trailed by some of Europe's biggest clubs with Internazionale known to be one of those.
But Lille have also successfully persuade the Ivorian forward to sign a four-year deal.
Coach Claude Puel is delighted with the triple signing.
"That is a very good thing for our team because they are our leaders," Puel told the club's website.
Puel has admitted Lille staved of competition from a number of clubs to hang on to the trio.
"They have been offered contracts by other clubs, we can't fight bigger clubs, but we made big efforts to keep the players," he continued.
"We can't guarantee that they will stay with us next season, you never know what can happen.
"Our club thinks about the future and we make efforts to go on growing and building ourself.
"A lot of exciting things are still to come, the new stadium for example.
"LOSC keep their best players in order to go on living an adventure together.
"Those three contract extensions show how the club should work in order to grow.
"LOSC take risks and want to remain optimistic."
