Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has reiterated his desire to see Franck Ribery stay with Bayern Munich over the summer and insisted the club has no interest in signing Alexander Hleb.
Speculation has suggested that Ribery could move on at the end of the season, with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus all linked with the French midfielder.
Ribery's agent has stated that his client would welcome the opportunity to play for Barca or Manchester United, but Rummenigge has now made it clear he will not be sold.
"We are not going to let a player like Ribery go, especially as he has a contract with two-and-a-half years left on it," Rummenigge told
Sport.
"When you have a player like this at your club you do not want to see him leave.
"He is a fans' favourite because of his spectacular displays, his ability and the success that he looks capable of bringing to the team.
"You do not sell players like that, you guard them very closely."
Hleb
Reports have claimed that Barcelona's Alexander Hleb has been lined up as a possible replacement for Ribery.
Hleb admitted last week that it would be an honour to play for Bayern but Rummenigge has again dismissed talk of a move.
He said: "We do not have the slightest intention of making a move for him."
According to rumours in the Catalan press, meanwhile, Michel Bastos of Lille could be another possible replacement for Ribery.
It is claimed that Bayern may offer Lille 12million euros (£11.2million) for Bastos if Ribery is captured by Barcelona.
