Castelen contract depends upon medical verdict from experts

Hamburg defender David Rozehnal wants to stay at Lille beyond the end of the season. The former Newcastle flop moved to France on a season-long loan at the beginning of the current campaign after failing to meet expectations in Germany. Rozehnal has played just 11 league matches for Lille, but he would still prefer to stay with the Ligue 1 club than return to the remaining year of his Hamburg contract. He told a media conference: "I am currently in talks with my agent and Hamburg, and I don't think I will go back there. "I really like Lille and I would like to stay. But I have one year remaining on my contract at Hamburg." Meanwhile, injury-plagued winger Romeo Castelen is still waiting for Hamburg to make a decision on his future, as his contract is set to expire in June. But Hamburg chairman Carl Jarchow claims a new deal will be offered if doctors give the club the green light. Jarchow told Hamburger Morgenpost newspaper: "After the season there will be a verdict from the doctors on Romeo's health. This will be decisive information for us then."
