St Etienne are planning to bring in some fresh blood in the summer.St Etienne are planning to bring in some fresh blood in the summer, but are determined to keep their key players at the club.
Verts chairman Bernard Caiazzo says they will look to sign four players in the summer, with Auxerre full backs Johan Radet and Jean-Sebastien Jaures two players to have caught their eye.
"They are two good players and they are both reaching the end of their contracts," said Caiazzo. "It would not be professional to not be attracted by them.
"We will hire three or four players."
Caiazzo's priority, though, is to ensure the likes of David Hellebuyck and Didier Zokora remain at the club.
Lyon, Paris Saint Germain, Marseille, Juventus and a clutch of English sides are believed to be keen on Zokora, but Caiazzo is adamant the midfielder will remain at the club next season.
"As it is not in our interests to sell him before World Cup 2006 and given he is under contract with us, Didier will stay."
Zokora has a further three years to run on his contract with St Etienne and seems likely to stay, although he has revealed his head could be turned by a major offer.
"I still have three years remaining on my contract and I am convinced we can achieve great things here," said Zokora. "But if I have an opportunity to leave for a great club, we will see."
