Hognon picked up the injury in a challenge with PSG's Carlos Bueno during their league clash at the weekend.
The former Nancy star had an MRI scan on Tuesday that revealed the ankle sprain on his left foot.
The injury is a blow for coach Elie Baup as Hognon will be missing for three vital Championnat matches.
Meanwhile, Les Verts have been boosted by the return of Congo star N'Kongolo Herita Illunga and Guinean international Pascal Feindouno from the African Cup of Nations.
However, key midfielder Didier Zokora will participate in the final with Ivory Coast and will therefore not be ready for the weekend's match.
