French forward agrees new three-year contract

Striker Jeremie Aliadiere has signed a new three-year contract with French outfit Lorient. The former Arsenal and Middlesbrough striker has produced some good displays to convince the Lorient officials to hand him a new deal. Aliadiere, 28, is out of action for one month with a thigh strain but is pleased to have committed his future to the club. He told skysports.com: "I am very happy to put pen to paper on a three-year contract. "I want to repay this club who has helped me so far, the season has started very well and I have found the net two times already. Now we need to push and be far from the relegation zone." Aliadere also admitted that he still holds Arsenal close to his heart. He added: "I love that team so I am always shouting for them, they will get back to where they belong. "Arsene Wenger is a great man and coach so they will be back for sure. I did not play too much there as I was always injured but that is life."
