Striker signs new three-year contract at Lorient

Jeremie Aliadiere has officially penned a new deal at Lorient, committing himself to the club for another three years. The former Arsenal and Middlesbrough striker returned to his native France as a free agent over the summer. Having spent over a year out of the game, Lorient handed him a 12-month contract upon his arrival. Aliadiere has, however, impressed greatly during his short time with the club and has been rewarded with fresh terms. The 28-year-old is currently sidelined with a thigh injury, but he is delighted to have addressed any outstanding issues regarding his future so early in the season.

Adventure

"I am so happy to be able to continue this adventure at Lorient," Aliadiere told the club's official website. "I love the club and by coming here I want to prove to everybody, notably the coach, that they were right to have trust in me. "Signing an extension is proof of that trust. "The club is improving and is playing some good football. I will do my very best to help them become one of the top sides in France."
