Three games in France produce three stalemates

The top two in France played out a four-goal thriller as Marseille held Paris St Germain to maintain their three-point lead at the summit. Elsewhere, on a day which produced three stalemates, Lyon and Bordeaux were forced to settle for a share of the spoils in their respective fixtures. Paris St Germain travelled to Marseille looking to move into first place, but they remain in second spot following a 2-2 draw. Andre-Pierre Gignac broke the deadlock at Stade Velodrome on 17 minutes, but the tie was quickly turned on its head. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was among the goals once again for PSG as he netted twice in the space of three minutes to edge Carlo Ancelotti's big-spending side in front. An entertaining period of play saw Marseille level matters again on 32 minutes, as Gignac netted his second of the game. Lyon sit third after playing out a 1-1 draw away at Lorient. Bafetimbi Gomis fired the visitors in front after 23 minutes, but former Arsenal and Middlesbrough forward Jeremie Aliadiere restored parity two minutes into the second half. Brest and Bordeaux were also involved in a 1-1 stalemate, with that result keeping the latter outside the UEFA Champions League places. Eden Ban Basat's 37th-minute opener was cancelled out on 68 minutes by Cheick Diabate.
