The 22-year-old midfielder star, who is rated as one of the most prized assets in Italian football, has found it difficult to establish himself in the Inter first team and he wants a move to get regular first team football.
Pirlo, who led the Italy Under 21 side to European Championship success last summer, has failed to make his expected breakthrough at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium and he has been kept out of the starting line-up by Dutchman Clarence Seedorf.
The playmaker spent most of last season at Reggina on loan and it was widely expected that he would finally show his true potential this season but he has again been overlooked.
Tardelli admitted that he would let any disgruntled player leave the club.
"If Pirlo has decided to change team I will respect his decision. I would think the same about everybody else," said Tardelli.
Pirlo has been linked with a move to French champions Monaco and a loan switch to Verona but there are certain to be other clubs interested in securing the services of the highly rated midfielder.
