The French international has been out of action since late January with a broken foot he picked up against Paris Saint Germain.
Giuly revealed he still has some pain in the foot, but he is confident enough that it will not cause him too many problems so that he can play against Real Madrid next week in the UEFA Champions League.
"I still have a pain in my right foot. It is logical," Giuly told L'Eqipe.
"The doctor told me it will only disappear in about a month or a month and a half.
"But on Monday I had medical examinations that reassured me. The fractured bone is set at 95%.
"It is the green light I was waiting for. I can play without danger. For the moment I only had some training sessions.
"Against Chateauroux, I will play again in competition. I have some fear about the first challenges.
"I need to play again, to get my self-confidence back. I miss the game and the competition.
"I have an enormous desire to play. Even injured, I never stopped training. So physically it should be ok.
"Anyway, we will take stock after Real (Madrid) and if needed, I will have some rest."
