Monaco midfielder Pontus Farnerud has insisted he will leave the club in the summer, but he may remain in Le Championnat.
The Swedish star was loaned last season to Strasbourg and is not always in the starting XI despite being given plenty of playing time by coach Didier Deschamps.
Six months before his contract is due to expire, Farnerud is eyeing a move in the close season.
"I don't ask myself too many questions," he told L'Equipe.
"Of course, I would love to play more often but I try to remain concentrated and be ready when the coach calls me.
"The most important thing is that I play regularly.
"It is the only thing I ask for.
"At the start of the season, the officials offered me an extension. But I have been at Monaco for six years and I want to know something else, discover a new league, even if there is still a chance I could stay in France.
"I have three or four exciting contacts and the situation should quickly become clearer."
