Monaco coach Francesco Guidolin is reportedly ready to open the club's purse strings.
Monaco coach Francesco Guidolin is reportedly ready to open the club's purse strings in the January transfer window.
The Principality outfit are keen to add reinforcements to their ranks in the new year, with Valencia's Marco Di Vaio and Lazio's Tommaso Rocchi topping their wish list.
Italian striker Di Vaio has not really set the world alight in Spain but the type of fee sought by Valencia could yet prove to be prohibitive.
Lazio too could also want a figure for Rocchi that is beyond the means of Monaco, which could hasten a move for Sampdoria's Lamberto Zauli.
The 34-year-old midfielder has worked with Guidolin before, in Italy, but the player has been keen to not further fuel speculation.
''I don't want to talk about Monaco,'' said Zauli.
''At least not before talking with my officials. It can't be that way, I want explanations.''
