Monaco are considering Vedran Runje as a potential replacement for Flavio Roma.
Monaco are considering Vedran Runje as a potential replacement for the unsettled Flavio Roma.
First-choice goalkeeper Roma (pictured) has recently expressed his frustration at Stade Louis II, claiming he does not feel trusted by club officials.
His comments have prompted speculation that he could be on the move in the New Year, with Monaco preparing for his possible exit.
Among the contenders to step in to Roma's spot is Croatia international Runje, who currently plays in Turkey with Besiktas.
He has past experience of French football with Marseille and it is thought he is hoping to leave Besiktas.
Meanwhile, Monaco striker Mohamed Kallon is close to making his first-team return from a knee injury.
Kallon picked up the problem in September and was initially expected to be sidelined for only three weeks.
But his recovery has proven to be a lengthy process and he finally resumed playing at the weekend by appearing for Monaco's reserves.
