Ambitious Primera Liga outfit Malaga have completed the signing of Lyon midfielder Jeremy Toulalan.
The France international has agreed a four-year contract with his new employers and will finalise the move over the coming days.
Malaga, who are owned by a member of the Qatari royal family, are delighted to have snapped up a player who boasts considerable international and UEFA Champions League experience.
"[Malaga] has reached an agreement with Olympique Lyonnais this morning [Friday] for the transfer of the international player Jeremy Toulalan," Malaga said in a statement.
"The midfielder, who has also reached an agreement with [Malaga] for the next four seasons, will sign his new contract in the coming days and will be presented in the last week of this month."
Meanwhile, Malaga have also snapped up Holland international Joris Mathijsen from Hamburg.
The Dutch defender will pen a two-year deal upon his arrival in Spain and is reported to have commanded a £2million transfer fee.
"Joris Mathijsen leaves us for Malaga in Spain," Hamburg's chairman of the board Carl Jarchow told BILD.
"We have agreed to this. We feel this is the best decision for everyone involved.
"Joris Mathijsen came to us and told us that he wished to do something new and that he wanted to move on."
