Pele has been deputising for number one keeper Jean-Francois Bedenik who is out due to a shoulder injury, but now the back-up is also injured.
Pele picked up the injury early on in the club's 2-2 draw with Rennes on Saturday but played through the pain due to the lack of experienced cover on the bench.
Scans have confirmed that he has fractured his arm and will now be out for at least a month with the injury.
Le Mans are now desperate to get Bedenik back fit for their next league game against Bordeaux.
