Nancy claimed a 2-1 win, with the victory all the more meritorious as they were forced to play the last 30 minutes with ten men.
Moncef Zerka opened the scoring for Nancy on 22 minutes, pouncing from close range after Nice goalkeeper Hugo Lloris had failed to hold an effort from Pascal Berenguer.
Parity was restored three minutes after the break as Marama Vahirua converted from the edge of the box, but the goal owed much to the excellent build-up play from Bakary Kone.
Nancy lost Sebastien Puygrenier just past the hour for a second booking, but it did not stop them as Kim netted the winner on 65 minutes.
The Brazilian showed great desire to head home a cross from Benjamin Gavanon to secure cup glory for Nancy.
