Dalmat has confirmed that he is set to leave the Parc des Princes, after being told that he is not in the plans of manager Luis Fernandez and is facing a tough decision over his future. PSG are set to meet with officials of the Italian giants to finalise the details that will also see Benoit Cauet make the move to the French capital.
Fernandez originally wanted to swap Dalmat for Cauet plus 40 million francs (£3.8 million) but Vampeta could be transferred instead of the money.
Another option is that the Brazilian, who has not seen much action in Italy, could be loaned out for six months with PSG having an option to buy him after that, but the decision is now down to Inter's Massimo Moratti.
"During the mercato everybody waits to see what others are doing," said PSG boss Fernandez. "We take our time and stand on our positions but the deal will be done next week."
Meanwhile, PSG are looking to further strengthen their squad with the signing of Espanyol defender Mauricio Pochettino.
Officials from Paris are expected in Barcelona to try and finalise a deal for the 28-year-old central defender as Fernandez tries to strengthen his defence.
Espanyol's current financial situation means that they could let him go for around 30 million francs (£2.9 million).
