The Basel star is still seeking an agreement with his current club before trading Switzerland for France. Negotiations are continuing as Basel are believed to owe their playmaker a considerable amount of money.
PSG coach Vahid Halilhodzic is willing to switch targets by joining the clutch of clubs interested in Brazilian ace Kaka, if the Yakin trail goes cold.
"It is far away from being concluded," he complained. "Things are complex.
"We could be interested in Kaka, from what I saw on tape.
"But you can't buy a player on video (evidence alone). You have to follow him for several months, or at least several matches.
"I would like to know his football and human qualities."
Kaka is most likely to head for Milan, although he is believed to be unhappy with their plan to farm him out on loan for a season.
Suggestions of a é¼20 million asking price from Sao Paulo do not wash with Halilhodzic.
"At that price, I said we could buy the whole team!" he laughed.
Kaka was in dazzling form in the Gold Cup, and has also been tentatively linked with Manchester United, even though he does not yet qualify for a work permit.
