Traore and co are still in the Uefa Cup and hope a strong display against Benfica on Thursday will help get a result this weekend against Rennes.
"The best means to prepare ourselves for our decisive Ligue 1 match with Rennes is to put in a good performance in Benfica," he told the club's official website.
"Reaching the quarter-finals would be something, but we can't forget our main objective. The priority remains to maintain the club.
"Who says that we are going to go down to Ligue 2? I'm saying that we won't go down!
"We are only two points off Troyes, the first club who are clear of the drop zone."
