Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis says there is an 'international bidding war' for Ezequiel Lavezzi after claiming six clubs want to sign the striker.
The Argentine striker has a further three years to run on his contract with Napoli, but he has a release clause in his deal of €31million (£24.8m).
He has been linked with a string of clubs, with Premier League champions Manchester City, ambitious French side Paris St Germain and Inter Milan rumoured to be interested.
Lavezzi is widely expected to leave Napoli over the summer and De Laurentiis is waiting to see how the fight to snare the 27-year-old develops.
"Six clubs continuously ask me about 'Il Pocho' (Lavezzi)," De Laurentiis said to Gazzetta dello Sport.
"There is an international bidding war going on for him.
"With calmness and alongside Lavezzi we will evaluate where he wants to go and what is the best solution for him and for the club."
Lavezzi, who joined the Serie A outfit from San Lorenzo in 2008, scored nine goals in 30 league appearances for Napoli in the 2011/12 season.
