Penneteau returns to training

Valenciennes goalkeeper Nicolas Penneteau has returned to light training.

Valenciennes goalkeeper Nicolas Penneteau has returned to light training following serious injury.

The summer signing from Bastia suffered knee ligament damage two months ago, but he is slowly getting back on the road to recovery.

The 25-year-old admitted his delight at making a quicker than expected return to training, but vowed not to rush his rehabilitation from here on in.

"I am happy to have got back to training with the group," said Penneteau.

"I have resumed training earlier than expected, and without fear.

"My knee is strong enough and I am confident. We haven't spoken about a return date - we will take it day-by-day."
