In-form striker Steve Savidan is refusing to be drawn into a debate over his future.
Steve Savidan is refusing to be drawn into a debate over his future after scoring four goals for Valenciennes at the weekend.
The forward's remarkable haul in Saturday's 5-2 win over Nantes took him to 13 strikes for the season.
Savidan is currently Ligue 1's highest scorer, and has adapted seamlessly to the top flight after also finishing top of the goalscoring charts in the second and third divisions in the past two seasons.
The 28-year-old's remarkable rise has seen him linked with a number of clubs, including Real Mallorca in January, but Savidan is concentrating on safeguarding his current employers' place in Le Championnat.
"I want to help Valenciennes to stay in the top flight," said Savidan.
"I don't set myself any limits. I don't even know my limits myself.
"Four goals in a single Ligue 1 encounter, of course it is the first time for me. It is an exceptional event.
"I received very good passes from my team-mates and I took advantage of the Nantes defence."
