Drissa Diakite has pledged his future to Nice by signing a new contract.
Nice midfielder Drissa Diakite has pledged his future to the club by signing a new contract.
The Malian, who has made 21 appearances in Ligue 1 this season, has agreed a deal to stay with the club until 2011.
Diakite's decision to stay could be followed by Apam Onyekachi, with the Nigerian defender expected to sign a contract extension in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Gilberto Stellardo has become Nice's new major shareholder, along with Marcel Governatori.
Stellardo has agreed a deal to manage the club's shares for three years and hopes the acquisition will clear up any confusion.
"Everyone needed to know who was directing the club," Stellardo told the French media.
"Now, things are clear. I am the boss of OGC Nice."
