Tunisia striker Ziad Jaziri is determined to clinch a move to The Premiership.
Tunisia striker Ziad Jaziri has told skysports.com of his determination to clinch a move to The Premiership.
Jaziri sparkled during his country's opening World Cup game by scoring in the 2-2 draw with Saudi Arabia.
He is aiming to use the tournament in Germany as a showcase for his talents, with a switch to England his main aspiration.
The 27-year-old currently plays in France for Troyes and concedes the World Cup is an opportunity to demonstrate he is capable of playing in The Premiership.
"Naturally it is my ambition to play in the Premier League," Jaziri told skysports.com.
"I realise not many clubs will have seen a lot of me, so I hope that if I have the opportunity I can at least show them a little of what I have to offer.
"I have scored and created goals for whatever team I have played in and I am completely focused on giving everything I have to try and help us progress."
Jaziri's agent Jesse Learoyd-Hill is hoping his client is afforded the same chance to make an impact in England as compatriot Radhi Jaidi, who has impressed for Bolton Wanderers.
Learoyd-Hill said: "We have alerted many clubs to Ziad's ability and qualities in the past.
"In a similar way to Radhi Jaidi, we now hope that, following a major tournament, he will have the chance to come to England and succeed, as his game is very suited to The Premiership.
"We have been in discussions with one or two clubs prior to the tournament, but will wait and see what transpires.
"He is certainly a very exciting player."
Meanwhile, Jaziri is keeping his focus on Tunisia's World Cup campaign and hopes the North African side can reach the second round.
The hot shot continued: "Of course I was delighted to score in the first game and set one up, but we were all bitterly disappointed with our performance.
"We have made it difficult for ourselves, but at least it is still in our own hands.
"Hopefully in the next two games we can play to our potential and maybe surprise one or two. We know we have the ability, we just have to play with confidence and show it."
