Les Canaris` goalkeeper and captain was unlucky to concede the only goal of the game, as a volley from Erwin Sanchez slipped from his grasp and apparently away to safety, but spun wickedly backwards and into the net.
Nantes are now bottom of Group A, and face a tough task with Manchester United and Bayern Munich also in the pool.
Landreau felt his side deserved more, saying: "We have a little feeling of bitterness, because we feel that we could have got a result. We were well organised.
"About the goal, it's a volley I missed and there was a bad bounce with a bad spin.
"Tonight, we failed because we lacked experience. But this kind of match will allow us to learn."
Nicolas Laspalles is not confident about qualification, saying: "We should really have got three points. If we were not able to beat Boavista, which were really at our level, of course it will be difficult against Bayern or Manchester United."
Coach Raynald Denoueix is looking for improvement, adding: "It wasn't the best of starts to the second phase. I hope that we will get back into our first-phase rhythm."
